Default sorting addresses

I use Outlook 2000 IMO.

Is there any way to configure my
addressbook so that for every contact, the name is always
displayed last name, first name?

It's not an issue when you view the address book (because
you can sort the names there), but it *is* an issue when
you try to create distribution lists and
have to select members. Then it depends on how each
contact is configured to display - and it's a drag to
have to set each one individually!

Thanks for your help!

Steve

Default sorting addresses

I also am having problems sorting contact names within
Outlook 2000. Within the Contacts window, everything is
fine (last name first for individuals, company names
appearing correctly). However, within the Address Book
window and also the selection window for email addressees,
the sorting is all screwed up. I made individual
corrections to sorting order for all the contacts (a
laborious task!), but the order is still screwed up for
all company entries.

This is a relatively new problem, occurring for the first
time after I had to reinstall Outlook. Prior to that,
everything was fine. This makes me think that it is a
configuration problem that I just haven't tracked down.
Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Kris
