Default Changing background color in a dropdown box based on value in box

I am building a project database for my team and we need to use 3 status
levels in order to inform management quickly about project status. The
statuss are Red, Yellow and Green. I want to be able to put these 3 items in
a dropdown in my project database and have the background of the dropdown box
itself change to that color.

So if someone could explain the steps to take for that I would most
appreciate it...

also if you can provide a little insight on how I would use the same control
to update the entire page to that color from the dropdown box.

Thanks

In a form or report, you can use conditional formatting (CF) to color the
combo.

In design view, select the combo, and choose Conditional Formatting on the
Format menu. You can use the 3 conditons to get the 3 colors (as well as
perhaps white if the combo is blank.)

Not sure what you meant about coloring the entire 'page.' A report page? The
2-k page buffer? The page of a tab control?
