Outlook Find issue
A normal Outlook email FIND begins searching new items and then
searching to the oldest items. Lately, out of my 1200 users, 300 of them so far have complained that the FIND function searches older items first, then searches newest items. Nothing has changed, nor SP or hotfixes etc. Has anyone seen this issue or does anyone know how to correct it? Help is appreciated Scott B |

Outlook Find issue
Which version of outlook? This is a known issue in older versions that is
fixed in outlook 2007 with instant search. I've never really dug into how outlook decides when to begin the search but others surmise it's somehow related the the date the mailbox was created. If you did any maintenance or recovery work on the server it may have affected it for some users. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: wrote in message ups.com...
