disappearing text...

Sometimes, when I am editing an organizational chart in Visio 2003, I will
make changes in a text box within a shape, and when I am done and I click on
"save" or change to the pointer (from text) or click outside the text box,
all my changes disappear. I have not been able to figure out why this
happens or how to prevent it.

Has anyone here experienced this problem? Any insights?

What sort of changes?
If you are using the Organization Chart add-in, then you should really be
editing data using the Custom Properties window because the text in the
shape is linked to these values.

and the organizational chart Option menu will control which custom
properties will appear and where. (Look at the Fields and Text tabs)

Here's an example: Inside the shape, there was a bold, underlined heading
and a list of employees under the heading in regular type. I made changes to
the list - deleted some employees, added others, corrected spellings. When I
clicked outside the box, everything except the heading disappeared.

Also, there was another time when I tried to bold and underline a heading,
but instead bolded and underlined everything in the box.

It seems like sometimes text behaves the same as in Word or Excel and other
times Visio is a world unto itself.
