Default Combo box problem

I currently have a form in which a user can select on of three combo boxes
for a particular record. When the form opens it gives a blank record, and
when a record is searched for it gives the current status of it with the
relevant combo box selected.

If the status changes and a different combo is selected and the record
saved, the next time they search for a record it automatically only makes
available the combo box that was selected in the previous record.

Is there anyway of correcting this? I was thinking that possibly when the
save button was clicked it set the form back to the opening blank record but
I do not know how to do this.

Any ideas??

Many Thanks,
Matt
