Default Why don't my table borders match after combining 2 tables?

I've been cutting, pasting, adding a column and combining tables from a pdf
into Word. Suddenly, the border of one table will not line up with another
table border after merging. I split apart the tables, went to table
properties, turned off wrapping, made the table widths and columns the same
size. I merge them back together and it' off. What am I overlooking?

Hi Dot,

Also make sure the tables have the same Table Style, alignment and margin offset, as applicable to your Word version.

Thanks, it was the table alignment and the margins!
