Lock on access icon
That may be a Access Locking file and not Access
application file. The padlock is part of the icon signifying it is a Lock file. Check the file extension of the file. I think it may be "LDB" and NOT the Access application file extension "MDB". Lock on access icon
To verify what Van is saying,
1) Open My Computer 2) Go to Tools|Folder Options, View tab 3) Scroll down and remove the check next to "Hide file extensions for know file types." 4) Click Ok to close the dialog 5) Check the file again, you should now be able to see its FULL name -- Wayne Morgan MS Access MVP "Howard" wrote in message ...
