Outlook 2000 receiving mail when it is not open
I have several systems all running Windows XP and Outlook 2000.
The problem is when you open Outlook and check your mail then close Outlook when finished. Outlook will continue to receive new emails. I have checked to ensure the program has closed completely and found no sign of it running. The mapi32 service is not running nor is Outlook.exe running. Any ideas? Randy |

Is OUTLOOK.EXE still running in TaskManager Processes?

Ok if "Outlook" is not running, "How did you determine that it is still
receiving e-mails?" diver13 wrote: No, that was the first thing I thought of and it is not nor is it running under applications "Bob I" wrote: Is OUTLOOK.EXE still running in TaskManager Processes? diver13 wrote: I have several systems all running Windows XP and Outlook 2000. By the fact that when we close outlook the inbox is empty and when we open it
again later there will be emails unread in it. The program has yet to check for mail at this point. When you open Outlook, it retrieves new mail.
