Default Tracking Changes

Hi
We have received a document in which each edit is shown in an extra column
on the right of the document text, as well as the usual line marking changes
on the left of the document text.
I don't know how to get rid of the column on the right of the document which
lists changes made.
I'd appreciate any help.
Keith

Open Word Document and right click on TRK (bottom of screen). Turn off
(uncheck) Balloons.

Mike

This will result in changes being shown in the text however (by default,
insertions will be underlined and deletions struck through). If Keith wants
just the change bars shown, the correct method is to turn off balloons and
set the formatting of insertions as None and deletions as Hidden. Note,
however, that this method does not *remove* markup--just hides it.
