Table: Title, contains CD I have. columns: Title, Composer + others
Table: Composers Columns: name years + more Looking up a composer works well. But when I get a composer I haven't had before then this is the question: I can record the new composer in the title table but it is not recorded in the composers table. at the moment I have to go out of title table put the composer in then return to the title Regrads John |

This is simply one of their many limitations! If you use a Form instead, you can use the "Not In List" event of a combo box (a "lookup") to enter a new composer and have the list repopulated immediately. See the Help for "Not In List". -- John W. Vinson [MVP] |
