How should we know? Why don't you try it and post back? We aren't your
slaves. Lift a brick now and then.

Gosh Russ,

You've changed since Jan 29 2006; are all MVP's like you?

Some of us are - especially when it is so easy to find out about a solution for yourself. Most of us have no need for that type of software so asking us if it works, well, you get the reply you got. Try it and see - don't ask us to do the work for you.

Sorry. Sometimes we get tired. You are asking a question that would be
easier for you to answer than us. And providing that answer would be helpful
to the group.

Hello Milly,

How some of you have been honored and deserving to be MVP's is precisely why
I'm scratching my head.
It's unfortunate that I and perhaps a whole lot of us are not MVP's like
you who consider our issues too easy to resolve. If you deserve to be
admired as a solution provider and a decent MVP, perhaps you can show us HOW
we won't need those types of software, instead of raving the you don't use
them perhaps because your good at preventing duplicate contacts in you own
outlook. After all, it was an MVP like you who recommended the software in
question. How do I know what you Don't Know? To avoid questions and then
anxious issues like this, maybe it's wise not to recommend untested and
unproven software! More so, if you were not tired while reading my initial
post, perhaps it would be obvious that I never asked anyone of you to
specifically try this plug-in on Outlook 07 first. I apologize if you thought
that I expected you to try it first before replying.

Sure it's easier to just post a question, but I did my share of making sure
that the " the check for duplicate contacts" has been marked in contact
options before I started my post. Has my conversion from Outlook 2003 be the
reason, to show duplicates? Characteristically, one Vcard showing the old
classic gray skin and the other showing the new 2007 skin.

Good luck

Dear hpum,

you still get the answer from Russ:

There are 3rd party tools for this purpose; you can find a list at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/contacts.htm#dupes.

MVP means "MVP for Outlook or Exchange" not MVP for 3rd party tools".

MVPs could give you a tip for how to avoid Dupes, but the reason for getting
dupes are amazing and this was not your question.

You questions was: "i'm looking for a similar plug-in "

You get a list of those plug-ins and now it is your work to visit the
website of the developers to see if they support Outlook 2007. You
could/must ask the developer from this companies if they support Outlook
2007.

I understand, that you are angry about your dupes, but you maked the dupes,
so you are responsible for this dupes.

Maybe your next question could be "How to avoid my contact folders to get
dupes in Outlook?".
My Outlook version is Outlook 2007 on Windows XPprof, SP2 and I use a PDA
with Active Sync Version ??"

Then you would get answers from MVPs for Outlook ith additional information
for "How to avoid dupes".
