OL 2003 Cannot Import or Export
Hello All:
I recently removed, then installed OL 2003 Std. Beta. The app crashed as I was exporting out a .pst to my thumbdrive. Now, neither File- Import and Export nor File_ Outlook Data File will open up. I hit the options and nothing happens at all. I have run the "Repair" from Add Remove programs. File- archive works, but I am not able to navigate to .psts that already exist. Ideas on what to do next? Thanks! |

Ehm, BETA? That one expired a long long time ago already. Are you talking
about a DEMO version perhaps? -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] www.howto-outlook.com Tips of the month: -FREE tool; QuickMail. Right.
Sorry to throw out a bad clue. It's the free 60-day from the website. For what it's worth "Roady [MVP]" wrote: Ehm, BETA? That one expired a long long time ago already. Thanks for asking!
There is no clue that Office is doing anything. no new windows open up, I don't get to navigate to anything. I have noticed that when I shut down Outlook, there is a progress bar that flashes briefly as the Outlook window goes down. It appears that Outlook is attempting to move a .pst, there is no dialog visible on that progress bar window. I have never seen this in Event Viewer or in Taskask manager window. It's funny, because I have uninstalled/ reinstalled Outlook 60-day and it continues to do this. I'd better clean out references to Office in the Registry before installing it again.
