Default Viewing My Contacts

I just had my company laptop re-imaged and now have Outlook 2003. When
addressing a message in my older version, I would see the entire company
directory in the "Show Names From" drop down, and if I scrolled all the way
to the bottom I would see My Contacts and could select names from my address
book. I cannot seem to find it with Outlook 2003. How do I find my personal
contacts when addressing a message? Thanks! JJ

Right-click your Contacts folder, choose Properties, select the Outlook
Address Book tab, and check the box labeled "Show this folder as an e-mail
Address Book".

Thanks Brian, I followed your instructions, but the selection is "greyed
out". Is this something my IT team set up you think?

I figured it out... Tools, Email Accounts, Under Directory choose View or
change existing directories or address books, Next, Add, Select additional
Address Books, Next, Personal Address Book, then exit Outlook and restart.

Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!

Your IT team _forgot_ to set something up. Click ToolsE-mail AccountsAdd
a new directory or address bookNext. Select the Additional Address Books
radio button and click Next. Select Outlook Address Book and click Next,
then Finish. Stop and restart Outlook. Then you'll be able to check the
"Show this folder..." box, if it's not checked already. You can go back to
ToolsE-mail AccountsVew or change existing directories or address
booksNext, select Outlook Address Book, click Change and select the display
sort order there if you don't like what you get by default.

No, no, no. The PAB service is long obsolete. You need to add the Outlook
Address Book service so Outlook will use your COntacts folder.
