Setting Condition Expressions
I am a new user in need of guidance. I have a db set to monitor recoveries of past due accounts. I have been instructed to set it up so the counter people can put in a customer's name or account # and identify if we still have a deficiency with that individual. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to set up a dialog box or do I need to set up another query? I don't know even how to approach this. Help.

Create a combo box or two on a form that contain all the names (account
numbers) that have deficiencies. Your users can use the combo box(es) to find the bad accounts. -- Duane Hookom MS Access MVP "heath" wrote in message ... I am a new user in need of guidance. Okay, bring it down a notch - we have over 500 accounts we are working on so need them to be able to just type in the name or account number. Will the combo box?

Yes, the combo box can be set to find values as you type the value.

You would first create a query that returns all the over-due accounts (or
whatever you want to search for). Then add a combo box on form using the wizard. Use the saved query as the data source of the combo box. -- Duane Hookom MS Access MVP "heath" wrote in message ...
