Default Extend the number of Visio shapes in one object

In Visio 2003 there is a limitation of 500 shapes per object. Is there a way
to extend this to more than 500?

Is there? Where did you find this? What do you mean by "object"?
I've just created a page with 800 shapes. No problem at all.

I once managed to create a Visio 2002 page with 88,000 objects, so 500 is
absolutely no problem.
Are they complex shapes?
Do they have lots of Custom Properties?
