Where did my Publish to Excel Services go?
Did all my tests with Excel 2007 B2TR in publishing spreadsheets to MOSS 2007
Excel Services and using the Excel Services Options. Removed B2TR and Installed Office Professional 2007 download from MSDN and now the Publish options list does not have Excel Services as an option. Anyone else find this? Thanks in anticipation! -- Mike L |

Where did my Publish to Excel Services go?
I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. I used my MSDN key for the
installation. No sign of Excel Services. I then uninstalled it and reinstalled the Office Professional Plus 2007 B2TR with my MSDN key. Publish to Excel Services is back! So I wonder whether Excel Services is only available with some Volume Licence Key installation. I will have to stay on B2TR until a solution occurs. Any Suggestions? -- Mike L "Mike L" wrote: Did all my tests with Excel 2007 B2TR in publishing spreadsheets to MOSS 2007 Excel Services and using the Excel Services Options. Where did my Publish to Excel Services go?
I have been told that the feature to Publish to Excel Services is switched
off in the MSDN Office Professional 2007 download with the MSDN Key. I have been using it extensively to develop Dashboards for my BI product in MOSS 2007. I have been told that is is active if I have a VLK (Volume Licence Key) for Office 2007. I have also heard that there will be an Office Ultimate 2007 version on MSDN sometime in the future - so - - Will the Ultimate version have the Publish to Excel Services activated? - When might it get onto the MSDN downloads? -- Mike L "Mike L" wrote: I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. Do you have access to Excel Services, that is a server running Microsoft
Office SharePoint Server 2007? -- HTH Bob (change the xxxx to gmail if mailing direct) "Mike L" wrote in message ... I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. Where did my Publish to Excel Services go?
Bob,
Yes, I have a good installation of the Trial version of MOSS 2007 where I have created Excel Services dashboards using the B2TR version of Office 2007 from MSDN. It is the RTM version of Office Professional that has removed the Publish to Excel Services. There is no other way to develop and design Excel Service dashboards without Excel 2007 Publish to Excel services feature. Will MSDN Office Ultimate 2007 have the feature resored? -- Mike L "Bob Phillips" wrote: Do you have access to Excel Services, that is a server running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007? -- HTH Bob (change the xxxx to gmail if mailing direct) "Mike L" wrote in message ... publish to Excel Services in the RTM version of Office Pro (Excel).? This is a wacky problem. And yes.. I do have excel services on my sharepoint site... and I am trying to publish there. I finally figured it out also when the Professional Plus 2007 had the Excel
Services feature but not the Professional 2007. Thanks for the update. -- Mike L "Riley" wrote: Figured out..... Its a sku problem... Where did my Publish to Excel Services go?
If anyone is interested in voting to include Excel services in an Office 2007
trial, please follow the following link to vote (Under Excel General questions). ****** It appears that Excel services has not been included in any of the Office 2007 trial downloads. As Sharepoint integration is a key feature that I want to demonstrate to users, is it possible to release a version that includes the facility to Publish to Excel services? ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
