Default Vignettes in 2007

One of the many presets available to apply to photos in version 2007 is the
vignette, which the application refers to as "soft edge oval." I have looked
for a way to control and modify that effect but can't find it in any of the
formatting dialog boxes.

Does anyone know if it exists? The ability to make adjustments to the soft
edge oval settings...?

There is no way to make changes to the preset gallery items that I'm aware,
although you might be able to hack into the XML and do some stuff....

This reply is a bit late, but in case anyone searches on this and runs into it:
Switch to the Picture Tools | Format tab
In the Picture Styles group, there is a dropdown for Picture Effects where
you can change the soft edges.
The Picture Shape dropdown lets you change the shape from an oval to
something else if you prefer a different soft-edged shape.

Ah, very cool. Thanks!

But you are stuck with the options in the Soft Edges list, right? (none, 1
pt, 2.5 pt, 5 pt, 10 pt, 25 pt, or 50 pt.) No way to make it, say, 37 pt?
