microsoft XPS document writer
I have 2 computers both with office 2007. However one has windows vista and
one is running Windows XP. I've saved a document to file on the non-vista computer, its a powerpoint presentation in "handout format" and tried to open it on the vista computer, I want to be able to write some notes/comments in the lined section to the right of the handout. However I couldn't open it. I noticed that the vista computer is using "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" as the name of the printer and the non-vista computer is using " Microsoft Office Document Image Writer". I think this might be the problem. Does anyone know how do I go about installing "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" on the non-vista computer? TXS |

The chosen printer driver shouldn't matter, other than that PPT 2007 can get cranky if the printer driver isn't an MS-certified one. PowerPoint 2007 text editing slow, text cut off, print, crash problems http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00850.htm But just to be certain, when you say you saved it in handout format, do you mean that you choose File, Save As and saved as a PPTX or that you printed or saved as XPS? XPS is a one-way format ... you can print to it but PPT and other Office programs can't open it back up. ----------------------------------------- Steve Rindsberg, PPT MVP PPT FAQ: www.pptfaq.com PPTools: www.pptools.com ================================================ |
