Default Why won't Outlook 2003 import my contacts entered in Excel?

So I first imported a couple contacts from an Excel spreadsheet I created as
sort of a tester and it worked perfectly. I created the spreadsheet based on
fields from an exported Outlook contact so that my fields would correspond in
each program. The first tester sheet worked fine. I then entered additional
contact information and now Outlook will not even pick up one bit of the
data. I've remapped the fields twice just to make sure I didn't make any
errors. What is going on?

Info that might be helpul:
It is linked to an Access database as well. I've been experimenting with
ways to get it to work via other contact managers.

Did you name the range in the Excel workbook?

Select (ie highlight) all the data and in the Name box at the top LH side of
the window, type in a name. Anything will do AFAIK...

Unfortunately, when I do that and press enter the selection changes from what
I had originally chosen (which included the new contacts I had added in
addition to the tester contacts) to just a selection of the original tester
contacts. Grrr....

Sounds like the original data already had a range name - call the larger
range a different name..

Alternative to Excel & Named Range.........

#1 - Save current worksheet as a CSV file
#2 - Import CSV file into Outlook instead of Excel file
