automatic dailing -outlook 2007 - using a voice over IP line
I am trying to see if I can use the automatic dialing feature on Outlook 2007
with a voice over IP line versus a regular phone line. Does anyone know how to do that? thank you! |

Not at Outlook question. Outlook does not dial. That is the responsibility
of the OS dialer, none of which support digital lines that I know of. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "DebbieT" wrote in message ... Am I to assume Outlook 2007 is capable of dialing a contact directly using a
modem attached to a regular phone line, but the function becomes useless with a VOIP digital system. VOIP seems much more capable of integration with Outlook than the old modem-phone system. Please advise. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Not at Outlook question. Outlook does not dial. As I said, Outlook has no dialer and does not dial.

Outlook is capable of dialing on a VoIP modem too, if the modem company
wrote a drive that allows Outlook to use it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Do you sync your mailbox with a smartphone or pda? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=39473 "CarlW" wrote in message ... I haven't seen any that have so far, but I don't look very often. Have you
seen any? Even if there are, Outlook isn't doing any dialing. It just store phone numbers. -- Russ Valentine "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... Yes, I have, but they are specific to each VoIP service (just as each modem
driver is specific to the modem). The best place to look is on the VoIP provider's support site. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Do you sync your mailbox with a smartphone or pda? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=39473 "Russ Valentine" wrote in message ...
