Default Why will my contacts not save into the Outlook Address Book

I have my contacts divided into categories and need to do a distribution list
but there are no entries in my Ourlook Address Book. How can this be? I
thought all contacts were aotomatically saved there.

Is the Contacts folder set as part of the address book? See if the "Show
this folder as an email address book" box is checked he Right click on
the Contacts folder, choose Properties, go to the Outlook Address Book tab
