Why won't Outlook recognize my Distribution List?
I have created a new Distribution List, which is now in my Contacts. When I
try to create an e-mail for the named Distribution List I get a message that Outlook doesn't recognize the Distribution List.

I copied a list of addresses into FileNewDistribution List from the Outlook
(2003)toolbar. The error message happens if I try to create a New Mail Message from the Contact list. If I create a new mail message from Outlook and type in the name of the DL it is not looking to my Contacts to verify the name. When I open the DL within my contacts I see all the people I put in it, along

I've often seen DL's created in this fashion fail.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to respond. I figured the problem out. The
Contact folder needed to be added to the e-mail accounts. Even though my Distribution List was there, in addition to all my contacts, the folder hadn't been added as an e-mail address book. Aha. So you weren't using your default Contacts Folder.
