How to move the Contacts folder?
Hello,
One of my users did something to her Outlook where her Contacts folder is a subfolder in her calender folder. If I try to drag it back to where it shoud be I get an error message stating that the folder is unmovable(which she should have got in the first place). I tried repairing office, Uninstalling and re-installing, but nothing works. Does anyone know how I may move the contacts folder back to its original place. This isnt a personal contacts folder but the actual original contacts folder in outlook. Please let me know any ideas. Thank you! |

Where did you drag it back?
I can easily drag mine back to the Root folder, which is where it belongs. Is this a PST file or an Exchange mailbox? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Michael B" wrote in message ... It is an exchange mail box running from Exchange server 2003. I tried moving
it back to the root rolder which would be Mailbox - Username and I get an error message stating "This is a system folder, can not be moved, blah blah blah... I dont know why it would have allowed the Contacts folder to be moved as a subfolder under calendar in the first place, but not it wont move back to the root directory.. Im lost "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Where did you drag it back? I can easily drag mine back to the Root folder, which is where it belongs. Then you have an Exchange question rather than an Outlook question, and I
can't help. Sorry. It's always best to post the relevant details when you post a question. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Michael B" wrote in message ... My apologies.. I thought because Outlook was the client that this would be an
Outlook question. I understand and it would be were the user using a PST file. Outlook has
less control over what happens in an Exchange mailbox and remedies there usually require actions by the Exchange administrator. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Michael B" wrote in message ...
