Office XP Home Use can't find files in search
I inserted Office XP disc. The installation took place as far as I could
tell, but I cannot find the folders, like winword.exe, when I do a search. How do I start over and try installation from the beginning? |

I don't find detect & repair in Outlook on the Help menu. I don't find
detect and repair on "Help & Support" when I click on Start or anywhere else. I have Outlook, but I don't seem to have Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. -- LeAna "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: does the icon work? if so, run detect and repair on the help menu and it will add the icons to the start menu. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "LeAna" wrote in message ... Are you using full menus or the ones that only show half the items?
If it's really not there on the full menu, go to control panel, add remove programs and uninstall then reinstall office. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "LeAna" wrote in message news I don't find detect & repair in Outlook on the Help menu. Office XP Home Use can't find files in search
All is A-OK. I rec'd 2 discs with my Home Use package. One for Office XP
and one for Office XP Professional. I have Windows XP (not Pro), but I had to use both Office discs to load all the Office software. I don't get it, but it works! Thanks for your efforts to help me. -- LeAna "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Are you using full menus or the ones that only show half the items?
