Default Projector Speeds up Show

I created a slide show where every slide has a photograph on it, and they
are set to transition on their own at a specific time. There is also music
playing during the show, and certain photos are set to appear at certain
times in the song.

I have run this show at least a hundred times, and the timing never varied
more than a second, which didn't negatively impact my purpose. The only two
times I hooked my computer up to a digital projector resulted in the show
speeding up on its own. The slide transitions were much faster, and the
show itself ended 10 seconds more sooner than it should have. The timing
between transitions and the song were ruined. Does anyone have any ideas
how I can fix this timing so that the show runs the same whether or not I
have a projector hooked up to my computer? Thank you.

Jay

Default Projector Speeds up Show

Timing a PPT show has some big problems. Different machines operate with
different resource needs, even the same computer with another application
running in the background can affect timing. In this case connecting to a
projector adds additional resource needs by splitting video card to work
with two outputs (or worse would be having a shared memory video chip that
draws directly from system RAM).

The best option for timing dependent slideshows, where the audio cannot be
segmented per slide, is to convert the slideshow to flash file or use MS
Producer.
