Can "Filter for:" be used from non-shortcut menu?
Hello!
My application is used by blind and visually impaired students. I like to avoid the use of shortcut menus, and put everthing in a standard menu bar for easy accessibility. I have recently created a form which allows for the use of the standard Access Filter/Sort/Find capabilities. I *want* to add the "Filter for:" command to my custom menu bar, however, I find working with custom command bars one of the most confusing aspects of Access. I have been hacking away at it for a while, but I am beginning to wonder if "Filter for:" will even *work* from a standard menu bar. I mean, Access doesn't include it in the built-in menu... 1. Can "Filter for:" be placed on a custom menu bar (i.e. not a shortcut menu)? 2. If so, where can I find it in the list of available commands so that I can drag it to my custom menu bar? I can't seem to find it... Thanks so much! Fred Boer |

Can "Filter for:" be used from non-shortcut menu?
One of my applications is used by a visually impaired
person. I utilize combo boxes to filter the data. He likes it because of the auto complete option available with combo boxes. Jim -----Original Message----- Hello! Can "Filter for:" be used from non-shortcut menu?
Hi!
I agree that comboboxes with autocomplete are effective, and I have a number of forms which use comboboxes to enter search terms for just that reason. However, this particular form is one in which I want to give the advanced user the full range of Access filtering capabilities. It is only the pesky "Filter for:" I am struggling with... Cheers!
