What type of straight line is it ? (there is more than one type).

If it's a connector line then you can righ-click on the line and
change it to a curve or right-angled connector. Tthis then raises the
question of what do you mean by bend. Do you mean a curved line, a
line with an (or multiple) angle(s) in it or a line that can be bent
into a curvy shape (a spline)?

If it's a straight line from the drawing toolbar then you could just
replace it with one of the curved lines.

On the other hand it could be another type of straight line.
