Default Linkfields error

I am building a form using Tabs for each form of the application. When I add
a field that should link to another table( I have a query set up linking
them) I receive the following error when I try to type in a new record on the
linked form.

"The LinkMasterFields property setting has produced this error: The object
doesn't contain the automation object".

I have setup databases like this before and have never seen this error.

Thanks
