Default Long tables in 2 pages

Hi,
I have a problem with tables in word documents. When I create a table and
the table is very long, it is splitted and continues in the next page. The
problem is that the splitting is done not at the end of the page, fitting the
last possible row, but in the middle of the table, what leaves then half a
page empty. How can I choose where to split the table? I tried in Table
properties but I could not find anything. If someone knows how to do this I
really appreciate if he/she could help me. Thanks.

You don't say which versin of Word this is... in Table Properties - Row tab,
try toggling "Allow row to break across pages" to see if one or the other
gives you the desired effect.

Also, look in Tools - Options - Compatibility. There are a number of
different table-related settings, some of which can affect how rows are
broken/presented.

It can sometimes be caused by paragraph
formatting...either "keep with next" or "page break"
before.

Thanks Suzanne, Sally and Herb,
The problem was in "Keep with next" option, which was checked in for each
table. Now I removed it and it work ok.
Thanks to all,
Pere
