"hovering" over a word to get a picture to pop up
I want to be able to have a word that if a person viewing the presentation
stops their mouse over that word for a couple of seconds, a thumbnail picture appears. Is that possible with PowerPoint? If so, how? |

I think you would have to use macros to do this. The alternative is to use
trigger animations, but that would require a mouse click, not a hover. --David -- David M. Is the process of creating a macro to do this very complicated? I have never
used a macro before. "David M. Marcovitz" wrote: I think you would have to use macros to do this. If you have never created a macro before, the process can be a bit
daunting. Additionally, macros do now work with the Viewer (must have the full version of PowerPoint), on the Web, or with people who have macro security set to high. If you have some control over the distribution of this, it can work very well. --David -- David M. "hovering" over a word to get a picture to pop up
Hi
It is possible without vba macros but a little complicated! 1. create a duplicate slide 2. on the duplicate insert the picture 3. on the original insert a 99% transparent box over the word 4. Do an action setting for this box mouse over hyperlink to duplicate slide 5. If you want to go back you will have to insert a transparent box over the duplicate slide mouse over hyperlinked to last slide viewed and send it behind the picture so that when you move off the picture the mouseover action happens. Not as complex as it sounds! -- Hope that helps "stucktrainer" wrote: I want to be able to have a word that if a person viewing the presentation stops their mouse over that word for a couple of seconds, a thumbnail picture appears. OfficeOne has a similar sample which you can take a look at:
