Most people hate the ribbon because it makes using the program slower,
more confusing and takes up too much screen space.

Rubbish. Put your most frequntly-used commands on the QAT and minimize
the ribbon. That actually gives you MORE space then the old menu-style
toolbars.

I'll take 2003 over 2007 anytime.

Would you like to expand on that? How long have you been using 2007?

What was MS thinking when they designed Office 2007??

Innovation perhaps?

I have been using it since it was beta, lol
I've been with MS in every step of the devolution of their windows and
office interface..

this is not innovation. The people who designed these interfaces are
monkeys.

Can you say consistency?

Lets see.. in office they bring every command out on bars with tabs, so many
that its confusing.. but wait, in windows explorer and internet explorer
they HIDE the commands, lock the toolbars so you cant bring out icons, and
remove the icons you are used to...

LOL I cant see why so many people fail to see so many obvious mistakes.

Is it perhaps that you are a fanboy? I am not fanboy.. I wont hesitate even
a millisecond to say something is crap
when its crap no matter who makes it.

and you still can't figure it out. Maybe another 3 years of intensive
training and you just might catch on. By then Office 2010 will be out and
you will have to start all over. Ain't life a bitch?

I've asked you many times in the past and you've never answered. What
design expertise/education/degree(s) (industrial, mechanical, etc) do
you have in order for us to have any faith in your opinion about the
interface design of Vista/Office 2007?
Or is it simply your personal opinion?
Tell us.
Frank

Like you've told us about your "marketing" skills? They certainly don't show
up with the outrageous posts you make on Usenet.

Cheers.

Are you answering for that moron? Did he give you permission to answer
for him?
Why don't you go fukk yourself ok old man?

Care to actually answer that question?

I guess Vista is just too confusing for some people. Office is just too
confusing for others.

I QUIT using 2007 within a couple of months, as it SUCKS. 2003 is once
again, another earlier version of a product MS has botched in later
releases (Vista, Office, Flight Simulator). Previous versions are
routinely preferred to the new ones.

"Innovation"? are u KIDDING me?? They just want to increase sales.
Many lemmings will automatically purchase ANYTHING that is new...

the office 2008 for mac doesnt have the dreaded RIBBON !!! see here
http://arstechnica.com/reviews/apps/...8-review.ars/2

MS always makes better versions of their software for macs, pehaps because
the mac users are more demanding for good interfaces? lol
