Default how do I stop outlook 2003 from synchronizing folders

this synchronizing is a real pain...how can I stop if from continually doing
it?

What type of email account do you have? If Hotmail using the Connector,
remove the account, uninstall the connector and install v14 beta
connector then recreate the account.
