"Check for duplicate contacts" not working
Outlook 2003, Tools\Options\Contact Options I have selected "Check for
duplicate contacts". Outlook help says this is supposed to do the following... "If you save a contact with the same name or e-mail name as one that already exists in your Contacts folder, Microsoft Outlook will display a dialog box that allows you to either add the new contact or update your existing contact with the new information from the new contact." but I never get the dialog box when I enter a duplicate name. "Check for duplicate contacts" not working
Do your contacts use a custom form? THat's the one known cause of the duplicate checking not working.

"Check for duplicate contacts" not working
Yes, all forms are custom, but nothing changed on the first page so I still
see Follow-up Flags. Does this kill duplicate checking anyway? "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Do your contacts use a custom form?
