Default Install office 2003, have key, no disc drive

I have a netbook that doesn't have a cd drive. I own Office Student and
Teacher Edition 2003 and the key, and want to install it on the netbook. I
can't download it from Microsoft because it's no longer available. I read on
the internet that it could be copied to a thumb drive and installed, but when
I tried that, after I entered the key, a message said that it was corrupted.
Unfortunately, I don't have an external cd drive either. Any help would be
appreciated

since you have a
usb port,

you might try using
an external dvd/cd
drive.

If it was corrupted then the first thing you should do is to reformat the
flash drive so that any bad sectors are marked by the operating system not
to write any data over it.

Then copy the entire CD again but this time making sure that all the hidden
files and folders are also configured to be visible before copying and
pasting on to a flash drive.

thanks for clarifying
it to me.

however, since o.p
has a usb port that was
used for the thumbdrive.

then it would behoove
the o.p. the "get" an
external drive to bypass
the limitations and
difficulties of this issue
and future issues.
