Half fold card in Publisher
this is exactly where I started. THe tent fold will print the front side AND
the back side. Now if I wanted to create my sentiment on the inside I suppose I could just put the same paper back into the printer and print the back side or page 2, but I had wanted to add a personalized sentiment on the complete backside of the card, I suppose I could insert a new page to accomodate waht I need to get done, which means I have to send the same sheet of paper through theprinter atleast twice. Is there not an easier way to make a half fold from the top card? -- Thanks,, Kim "Ed Bennett" wrote: Kim K was very recently heard to utter: Please tell me where I am going wrong, I feel so stupid. I open pub, go to new, and select full page blank publication. I go to file page setup Folded card, Top-fold card, and set the width at 8.5 the heights at 5.5 and select portrait. Try a Tent Card instead. A top-fold card is a two-fold card, where you print on one side of the paper only. -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher |

Is there not an easier way to make a half fold from the top card? Take a premanufactured card. Open it up so it is a flat piece of card. Look at the way it's printed. There is printing on BOTH SIDES OF THE CARD. How would you suggest accomplishing this without running the same sheet of paper/card through the printer at least twice? Using a tent card and Insert Page to insert the inner page is the way to accomplish this. PagePlus cannot defy physics, and will not let you accomplish what you want in this situation without running paper/card through the printer at least twice. -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher |

The tent card, insert two pages after page two.
The message will be on page three, if your message is long and you need to use page four you will have to manually rotate the page four text box 180 degrees. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Kim K" wrote in message ... this is exactly where I started. Ed,
Thank you for replying, this is exactly what I ended up doing however, Publisher wanted to insert 2 pages to which I deleted one and ended up with three. Perhaps in my haste and frustration I did not clarify that I completely understand that sending a page through once to print on a reverse side is acceptable as I fully understand that, but to have to send it yet an additional time to get a personal sentiment I made for my family members is having to send the same project through the printer yet again. Thank you for your help, while most people may not think to have a personal sentiment on a card to send to family, it is important to me to send to my children who are serving in the military and not able to make it home for Christmas, they will appreciate a "made form the heart of mom" on the back of their card. -- Thanks,, Kim "Ed Bennett" wrote: Kim K was very recently heard to utter: this is exactly where I started.
