Templates on a network
Hi,
I am operating on a College network and note that when I log off any templates I have created are no longer available for the next time I log on. The system administrator mutters something about profiles but did not comment on how the situation could be resolved. I have been saving Templates in the default location (C:docs&settings/User/Application Data/Microsoft/Templates) as I understand this is the only location where templates will be available from the New Publication Task Pane. I realise I can save the document on my user drive as a document and use it as though it were a template - but i would prefer to use it as intended from the task pane when saved as a template. I think the problem is that once I log off from my networked PC the log off scripts delete any files written to the local C: drive. Is there anyone who could provide guidance on how how I may suggest that my system administrator should proceed in order to resolve this issue. |
