Default Greyscale pictures in Microsoft Office Picture Manager

I'm quite sure that with my previous office version I was able to convert color pictures into grayscale ones. I don't find this option in the 2003 version. Can anyone tell me how I am able to change this property? I have to use grayscale pictures in a presentation, but cannot do it myself.
Thanks, Els
