convert link object to an embedded object
Maybe you just wants to embedded a video/audio file to your powerpoint
presentation: 1 embedded a video First of all, the embedded video must be in the correct format. Make sure it is either in Windows media file (.wmv) or in .avi format. Save the video on your desktop so that it's easy to embed. • Step 2 Open your PowerPoint presentation. Embed your video by using the "Insert," "Movies and Sounds," and "Movie from File" commands. Navigate to the video file you saved on your desktop and click "OK." • Step 3 When your presentation is finished, save it as a packaged presentation by using the "File," "Save As," PowerPoint Show. This will make it transportable from one computer to the next. Otherwise, the video will only save as a link. If you click on the link to the video on another computer--even if it looks like a square box where the video should be--it will not have point to anywhere as the video was not originally saved on that computer. • Step 4 After having saved, re-open your prepackaged file on another computer to make sure the save worked and the video was transferred. http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/learningce...tions.html#149 2 embeded a audeo If you choose to embed the audio file into your presentation, the sound file would be contained in your presentation. To embed audio file, you need to follow a couple of steps. Some one else 1. First of all, you should make sure that the music file is in WAV format (MP3 file can only be linked not embedded). 2. By default, the file which is smaller than 100 KB in size would be embedded. If you WAV file is larger than 100KB, you need to change the file size limitation first. It can be changed in the Sound Options group on the contextual menu when you double click the speaker icon on the slide. That’s it! It’s not that difficult to add music to your PowerPoint presentation to make it more funny and entertaining. Enjoy it! http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/learningce...tions.html#149 |

convert link object to an embedded object
Hi
Try this: Office button - Prepare - Edit links to files (right at the bottom - you may need to scroll down) - select link - Break link. If that doesn't work, let us know what the object is and how you got it there.
