When you say "can't get to the Format Picture option", do you mean the option
is not on the right-click menu, or that the option is grayed out on the right-click menu? Try left-clicking once on the image, then on the menu bar at the top of the screen, left-click on Format | Picture or Object | Layout, and choose "Square" or "Tight" | OK. "endoaccess" wrote: I misspoke, The"picture placeholders" box is UNchecked. As far as moving the image by dragging I can't get to the Format Picture option after right clicking on the image. I don't use AOL, but I'm not sure why AOL would be any different from MSN as far copying and pasting web content. An alternative approach in AOL would be to right-click on an image, then "save as" to a folder on your hard drive (not to your desktop). Then in Word you can click on Insert | Picture | From file, browse to the folder where the saved image is, select the image, and insert the image into the Word document. That worked great as far as letting me move the picture around. What I found
out is that I'm able to copy and paste from the web as long as I'm loged onto the compoter under my name. As soon as I switch users to my daughter's name then I'm no longer able to do anything. Can she have inadvertently changed some settings that she is prohibited her from doing this? The only way I can save a file is as ART or BMT.
The weird thing is that I can copy and paste as long as I'm loged in under my name. If I switch users to my daughters name then I can no longer paste. When I do the only thing that comes up is an empty box with the eight drag handles around the parimeter. "Suzanne S. I don't know why this is happening, but it seems that a possible solution
would be for you to save the file using your profile, to a location your daughter can use. -- Suzanne S. I can copy and paste the image if it's small
7349 bytes 139x139 pixels The problem is when I try to enlarge it in Word it loses its detail. If I enlarge it first 63808 bytes 720x720 pixels It will paste and come out as an empty box. Also no matter how I try to save it get a box asking how I want it formated and no matter what option I choose I receive an error message stating it can not be copied. Thanks so much for any help. I don't know how to insert a link, but if you go to www.google.com,select
IMAGES and type in 'spiderman'.The first image on the top line is the one my daughter is trying to paste. Double click this image them select 'see full size image'. This full size image is the one she's trying to paste and we just can't make it work. "Suzanne S. You insert a link by clicking on the URL in the address bar of your browser
and pressing Ctrl+C. You then press Ctrl+V to paste it into a message. In this case, that is http://stockimg.free.fr/wallpaperlin.../spiderman.jpg. If I right-click on that image and choose Save Picture As, I have no trouble saving spiderman.jpg to any desired folder. If you can't do that, have you tried clearing the cache as I suggested? FWIW, you don't have to double-click an image in Google Images results; a single click suffices. -- Suzanne S.
