Default Update data

I have a desktop and laptop, each with Outlook 2007 and Vista. After I enter
new data (contact, calendar) on the desktop, what is the easiest way to
update that info on the laptop?

That completely depends on the mail account type that you are using.
Assuming a POP3 account, you can use a 3rd party sync tool such as;
http://addins.howto-outlook.com/itsth_e2s4o

Of sync via a mobile device which is capable of syncing with Outlook.

I don't use Outlook for my mail. I use Outlook for Contacts and Calendar.
Both computers are connected by a wireless network. I'm really interested in
getting the data from the desketop to the laptop. The laptop is new and
(with difficulty) I was able to get the data onto the laptop. I'm interested
in an easy way to update in the future.

You can use the methods suggested or move the pst-file each time you switch
