Default How to change "Category" to "none"

I originally set "Business" as my default category for
new Contacts, and I have almost 3,000 with that
Category. I have recently changed my default category
to "none."

I want to delete the "Business" category designation from
the 3000 Contacts so that their category will show
as "none".

I am familiar with doing mass changes in Outlook
contacts. However, the method that I normally use is not
working. I am wondering if Outlook 2003 is programmed to
NOT allow changing a Category from something to "none."
If not, I am looking for advice as to how to accomplish
it.

Select all, right click, categories, deselect Business.
