Form
I have a form that users fill out and when they are
finished they have the option to Print out "the report" with a command button. I don't want them to print out the form because their are other options that I don't want to appear on the printed version. Is there any way to change the default of which printer it prints to? This particular report needs to be in color but all their other documents should be black and white. The only way I have found this to work if they change their printer settings through the start menu and I don't want them to start printing everything through the color printer. Thank you for any guidance you can give! |

If you know what printer you want to use at design time:
1. Open the report in design view. 2. Specify the printer through: File | Page Setup | Page | Specific Printer. 3. Save. That particular report will then go to that particular printer. If you need the user to be able to select one of their printers at runtime, see: Printer Selection Utility at: http://members.iinet.net.au/~allenbr...pPrintMgt.html The downloadable example provides an interface where the user can select their printer, and the report will go to that printer when they open it. The utility uses the Printer object, so works only with A2002 and 2003, but the article contains a link to another utillity for 2000 and 97. -- Allen Browne - Microsoft MVP. Perth, Western Australia.
