Can't edit Publisher 97 files in Publisher 2002
Is there a way to edit older Publisher files in Publisher 2002. Did in stall
the WordArt patch and the files open correctly, but will not let me edit. Could I install my old Publisher 97 on my computer to complete the tasks I need to do, until I figure how to do this on Publisher 2002? Thanks for helping! |

You should be able to edit them. I edit my old 97 documents. Are the files on your
hard drive? Have you checked to make sure they are not read only? Publisher 97 will run well on your system. Install it to a separate folder. -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://www.msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Emil W." Emil wrote in message ... While in a state of ecstasy after repairing his laptop, Ed sees a
message from Emil W. Emil . On it is written: Is there a way to edit older Publisher files in Publisher 2002. Did in stall the WordArt patch and the files open correctly, but will not let me edit. In addition to Mary's response, if you have installed the WordArt patch, you will be unable to edit imported WordArt. If you haven't activated your copy of Publisher, it may have gone into Reduced Functionality mode - where you will be unable to edit files. -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher http://www.mvps.org/the_nerd/ Before reading this message, view the disclaimer: http://mvps.org/the_nerd/disclaim.htm |
