Default ######## as the answerin the cell. How do you correct?

Simple command is =F4-F37. Answer in cell continues to be: #######. If I
hold the cursur over the cell it will show the correct answer to the side in
another window.

I take it that it is not as simple as just increasing the column width?

Do you have that cell formatted as General?

If you're dealing with times/dates, you can get #### when the results are
negative (and formatted as date/time).

G'day Hoot
May be just a simple column problem being too small (narrow) to carry the
value created.
hope this helps
Graeme
