Thank you Steve for all your help

What do i have to do to prove my existence , all i gotta say is that you
people have way too much free time on your hands. maybe you should try using
all this time for something good. unfortunately i don't have so much time,
some of which was saved by Steve.

But without any of that, I think it's quite safe to assume it's just
a sock puppet of Steve's.

If that's the case, it's really too bad, since I had always felt
that Steve was a well-meaning but misguided individual. If he's
using sock puppets, then that means he's *not* well-meaning, that he
is underhanded and sneaky and dishonest.

But, Raheel, you can fix all of that if you just step out and prove
that you really exist.

He certainly didn't help in the only other thread I could find that was
started by this poster, "Partial data search in a column" in the
"queries"
forum.

hey , i'm glad my true opinions could bring you some amusement, although
considering your level of uncertain doubts the impression i get is that due
to your spiteful attitude you probably never received true help from anyone
in the past. Maybe you should consider being a little more open-minded to
experience help from people who offer help out of good-will.

Big freaking deal. There are literally hundreds of people who
participate in these forums who are offering free help to everyone
who posts. Steve is the only one who *ever* takes that over to "you
can pay me for more." Many of us do all sorts of things for others
for no compensation that does not show up in these forums. That
Steve might sometimes do that does not make him special at all.

The thing that makes him "special" is that he is mercenary in his
use of these newsgroups, something that violates the spirit (and the
letter) of the customs that govern these forums.

He's been politely asked not to over and over and over and over
again, but he gets really nasty claiming his right to flout the
norms of behavior.

If you think that's OK, then, well, you are not worth much as a
participant here. You don't seem to be one, anyway, except in this
suspicious thread praising Steve.

Interesting... you did NOT bother to thank the other people that helped you
but instead to thank the ONE person that constantly "violates the spirit
(and the letter) of the customs that govern these forums" (thank you Daivd,
you said so well I...) What about the other people that helped you, do they
not deserve a 'special' thanks?

A Google search on the OP here learns that he/she has posted in 5! threads,
Two of these are the 'Thank-you-Steve'-threads...
Remains 3 threads where he participated! Wow !!

"Partial data search in a column" in ms.public.access.queries (started july 9)
"Retreiving data from another table" in ms.public.access (started july 27)
"Importing from one table to another" in ms.public.access.externaldata (started july 30, which is the same question)

In *none* of these threads Steve has participated ...
Maybe the OP *does* exist, but I consider his/hers 'contribution' here to be only *sheer utter nonsense*

And where is Steve ??? When does he show up to defend his defender ??

When I want to thank someone for their help, I stand on a box in the
town centre and shout it at the top of my voice. Oh, hang on ...

I'm relatively new to the whole discussion board thing. so i preferred to
communicate thru emails. i can see y i opted to do that.
