Default Big Distribution List: no record found? MS2007

I have upgraded from 2003 to 2007.
I have a big distribution list with more than 200 email addresses in my
contacts.
Prior to the upgrade, I have saved my .pab in FREECOM drive as a "backup".

After the upgrade, I can't found any record in this big distribution list,
this big one is completely empty.
However I do have other distributin lists with less records.

I checked my "backup" PAB with the other computer using 2003, it was
available.

Would you please let me know how do I get all the records in my new upgraded
2007 !

Appreciate very much !

Outlook 2003 doesn't USE a "pab" - in fact that's not been used since
Outlook 2000 AFAIK....

Explain what you mean by a "backup PAB" and how you created this "pab"

OK, actually the upgrade was done by the IT in my office laptop for the test
of migration from 2003 to 2007.

It's true my PAB was in my 2000 prior to using 2003, yet for whatever way
our IT did, it was carried on for me to use in MS 2003. Whenever I add a new
email address from the incoming mail, although it said "add to outlook
contacts", it will be added in my mailbox.pab

===
Because of saving the space in our office server drive, all our personnel's
archive mail and mailbox have to be in our local c-drive.

when I said "backup of my pab", it means I've saved the file "mailbox.pab"
in my FreeCom drive as a backup just in case I have a problem when I start
using 2007.

I have my Account Settings “Address Books” shows “Outlook Address Book”,
type: MAPI
I have my Address Book Tools Options Add "contacts" and keep all
email-addresses in "contacts" including checking, etc.
I use "contacts" for email-addresses only.

Now with MS 2007, when I send email, all those addresses (email-addresses)
are correctly pulled out from the "mailbox.pab", no problem at all.
All other distribution lists (not having more than 10 email-addresses) have
the correct addresses but it's just this big one with more than 200 customer
email-addresses not carrying any email-address in the properties. It’s EMPTY
when I click the properties of this BIG DISTRIBUTION LIST.

Would that be a security setting involved or any other, please help.

thanks
karen

PAB's are depreciated, but still work in Outlook 2003. The PAB needs
imported into Outlook 2007 and unfortunately, distribution lists do not
import well. If you still have access to Outlook 2003, you should be able
to get a text list of the DL - you can then paste it into a new DL in
Outlook 2007.
