I need to copy contacts to an excel file but don't know how. I tried using
the import/ export feature but apparently the import/ export wizard was not
loaded onto this computer and no one knows where the disc is. Can anyone help
me?

No. No one can help you find your original installation source files. Only
you can do that, and you must.

Brilliant advice. When I can badger my boss enough to find the the lost disc
without getting fired, I'll find that information helpful. In the meanwhile,
I was hoping for some advice on whether there were any other ways to transfer
the contacts into excel without import/ export or not, and if so, how does
one do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may be able to get them in an Excel spreadsheet. Open Outlook and select
the Contacts folder. Change the view to a table view, like Phone List. Make
sure the view contains all the fields you want to export. Select one of the
entries, then press Ctrl+A to select them all. Press Ctrl+C to copy the
selection.

Open Excel. Press Ctrl+V to paste the selection into the spreadsheet. This
should produce one line per contact with the data in the proper columns.

Thanks so much Brian! Worked easily and quickly. I imagine my boss will have
me clean up the contacts for him and want to get that cleaned copy back into
his Outlook. Let's assume he still doesn't find the disc (a pretty safe
assumption - any betters?), is there a way to copy and paste the info back
in, again, without using 'import'?

As far as I can tell, no. If you need new installation disks, you can request
them from Microsoft with proof-of-purchase. See this:
