Will Installantion of Office 2000 lose current Outlook information?
Last week I was unable to open Outlook. Received the
msg: "Cannot Start Microsoft Outlook. A required Component is missing OMI9.DLL. Please install Outlook again." 2nd Msg: Data1.Msi file is missing. The previous program amongst others installed on this computer was Office Premium. I now have a new copy of Office 2000. Do I uninstall then install Office 2000? When I do that, will I lose my current contacts, calendar, emails etc. in Outlook? I have spent the last 6 months inputting all data in Outlook and DO NOT |

Will Installantion of Office 2000 lose current Outlook information?
Hi,
All of your Outlook data (Calendar, Mail, Tasks, Notes, Contacts) are held within a .pst file. Just make sure you back up this file before uninstalling or upgrading Office/Outlook. Uninstallation or upgrading should not result in data loss. However, you cannot predict when any files become corrupt or other system failures happen. Therefore, backing up your data files is always recommended. Please review the following articles to learn how to back up your Outlook data: http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;196492 http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;195719 http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;181014 http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;184817 -------------------- From: "Arlene" Sender: "Arlene" Subject: Will Installantion of Office 2000 lose current Outlook information?
