footnote position wont change
I'm still searching the web for this one, but thought I'd get it out here.
I have a doucment with footnotes. I want to change ALL footnotes to be in the "below text" position. Howveer, when I make that seelction in the Insert ReferenceFootnote dialogue and make sure Whole Document is selcted, nothing moves. Even after the doc has been saved and closed - nothing moves. What gives? please help? -Moe |

Never mind, after hours of testing I figured it out.
Why M$ doesn't make this stuff easy to find and easy to understand - I'll never know. The answer is: to get footnotes to appear under the referenced text WITHOUT pushing all the later text to the next page, you must use a continuos section break, THEN insert an ENDNOTE using location END OF SECTION. Sheesh. "da-moe" wrote in message ... I'm still searching the web for this one, but thought I'd get it out here. I have a doucment with footnotes. Well, there *is* a difference between footnotes and endnotes. Generally
speaking, footnotes appear on the same page with their references in the text (either at the bottom of the page or immediately below the text; endnotes are collected at the end of a section or the entire document (or some compromise between the two, but not on every page).
