Default Does Word 2007 display the row column you are in when in a table?

Am I missing something? When you are within a table in a particular row and
column, doesn't Word any longer display what column and row you are in?

Maybe you're thinking of another program... Word has never displayed
table row and column location. To do that you need an add-in.

Long ago, one version of Word shipped with a template named
Macros8.dot that included a macro called TableCellHelper. That file is
available for download from http://word.mvps.org/downloads, and the
macro still works in Word 2007. It's rather clumsy by today's
standards, but it will tell you what cell you're in.

And Greg Maxey has one that's a little more sophisticated at
